Bummer

I spent a lovely afternoon honing my magnificent (by magnificent I of course mean...mediocre) crocheting skills. I'm going to be making a crochet hook case with this yummy yarn in New Splash. It is so pretty but I'm pretty sure it's frowned on to lick yarn, pretty sure...but not positive, so maybe I'll just rub my face in it.

So after several hours, yes HOURS, of very hard work I had to unravel my entire afternoon's work. Gah. So I guess I'll be attempting that again if I can get over the extreme disappointment of unravelling all that damn yarn.

Going out with Marikka, Deb and Kate this evening...well not going out....going to Deb's house for some pot luck Mexican and booze. Should be fun.

Went to my LYS (Local Yarn Store) for the first time today. I bought 2 balls of yarn to crochet Scott a scarf, very manly grey yarn. I'm going to try and start that in the next couple of weeks. For myself I bought some very girly pinky, purple variegated yarn to make a bag for my hooks. I snagged some cotton yarn on sale for practicing with.

So now I will start crocheting in earnest...much better now that I have a couple of actual projects.

All of this learning is for preparation for February 20th...what's so important about the 20th?
